ok i have used the search tool and found some options.
cmoy, pa2v2, etc

and Fiio E5 being the cheapest
i usually use my laptop or ipods and im looking for sound quality, not more volume.

would fiio e5 make any difference? it seems affordable

i use these headphones with a little dot MK III with mullard M8100s.
Warms them up a treat and they sound much better than they do out of the soundcard.
It will restrict you to high impedence phones but it should drive most of them okay/well.

Howdy,

When I first got my DT 770/80 I tried to drive them just with an iPod or my computer soundcard. I then started down the same path as you and went looked for a cheap amp to try to get them to sound better. I went with a PA2V2, which is a good amp for the price. I have not tried the other amps that you have listed, but if you are really looking to get better sound quality out of the phones I would try to save up for so thing else.
