I'm currently running an Audigy 2 Platinum (with kx drivers) going to a Yamaha AV receiver via digital cable and then to the speakers. Considering I won't be able to get the EMU I wanted due to financial concerns, would a Chaintech AV710 be better than my current sound card for music at least?
Can I keep both cards in switch the cables when I want to play games (Audigy) and when I want to listen to music (Chaintech)?

Yes, it will be a great improvement in sound quality, and yes, you can install both and switch between them.

By the way, is the digital out on the Chaintech good? Since that is what I plan to be using.

If you use the M-Audio DIO drivers (or flash it to a different card) then the digital out is bit-perfect for everything (not just ASIO/KS).

I'll be getting the card in a little while, in the mean time where can I get these drivers?

You can find them on M-Audio's website. I believe you need to modify an INI file to get the installer to run. See here.
