Cayin CA-8 : a DAP with... retractable tubes

I thought I should start a thread about this interesting prototype from Cayin that has been shown at High-End Munich.

Cayin answered to me about it via Facebook : « This is a WIP project, we haven't finalized the industrial design so it might look differently by the time we launch it in 2025. It is transportable so we designed it to run on battery or AC power. This will be Cayin's first attempt at an AIO (All-in-One) product and the player section will be Android-based. » .

Is this the start of a new trend after the Lotoo Mjolnir? Transportable massive DAPs. That talks to me, but this one seems high-end once more.

Transportable DAPs are of high interest for me. I do not intend to jog with my dap, I just want to change listening rooms or take it with me on vacation.

It looks like indeed this cathegorie of SUPER-DAPs is growing.
