Recorded a great interview with Cat Steven's and Bob Harris on BBC Radio 2 last weekend.

I'm listening to it at the minute and am quite impressed with what i'm hearing.

I know he has a just released a box set recent and am wondering if anybody has any experience of this? Worth Buying or is it a total dog and for enthusiasts only. No too bothered about shelling out for it oz if it's good music then it will be a nice addition to my already fine collection

For the record, Cat Stevens isn't releasing anything

I read an article that he became a fundamentalist Muslim, disavowed all of his older music, and now writes childrens music and stories.

What a shame. He wrote just about the only good music that came out of the 70's

LOL!

I think we need to do a death metal version of "Peace Train", and call it "Pieces Train".

Now I've been happy lately, thinking about the bad things to come
And I believe it could be, something bad has begun

Oh I've been smiling lately, dreaming about knives and guns
And I believe you could be, some day you're going to burn

Cause out on the edge of darkness, I drive a piece train
Oh my piece train will take this country, cut it up again

Now I've been smiling lately, thinking about the bad things to come
And I believe it could be, something bad has begun

Oh chainsaw sounding louder
Grind on the piece train
Come on now piece train
Yes, piece train holy splatter

Everyone jump under the piece train
Kill 'em now, piece train!

Get your body bags together, go bring your enemies too
Cause it's getting nearer, it soon will destroy you

Now come and join the dying, it's not so far from you
And it's getting nearer, soon it will all be goo

Now I've been crying lately, thinking about the world as it is
Why must we go on loving, why can't we live in piss

Cause out on the edge of darkness, there rides a piece train
Oh my piece train take this country, blood and bones again

Bloody be as bloody do
I remains, cajunchrist

Was running through my Cat Stevens vinyl the other week. Most of it aged pretty well. It's a shame he stopped that work, and I guess he joined in condemning Saloman Rushdi for that book. Thank God there's still Shawn Phillips . . .
