Cardas RCA Caps: I'm sure I'll be teased about these...

I just hope they have designed a holder for caps that are currently not being used. I would like mine to be teak with a hinged lid, outfitted with Cardas receptacles so the caps cannot be damaged when not in use.

Wow, I didn't know they had a name for that! Must be an irish or austrilian word

)

the language police strike again!

Mung refers to a particular bean.

Munge means to imperfectly transform.

Munge is frequently, and wrongly, substituted with Mung.

Yeah, well, for only $44.00, I will be able to sleep restfully knowing that no dust is getting on (and in) my RCA jacks, and that I will have reduced the already very low likelihood that RFI/EMI seeping in through my theretofore naked RCA jacks is affecting my sound. All that security for only (shuffles nervously in his seat)....ahem....$44.00....

They're too cheap!!! They can't possibly work as well as if you had spent $999.99 on them! You're missing $956.49 of the placebo effect! Send them back immediately!

-EDIT-

Or not... wow this is a really old thread!

Meaning of mung.

In public school, long ago, the term "mung" started to become popular with my friends. I always took it to mean some nasty substance like "poop" or "crud" .... as in "Ooooo, it's got mung on it!" A deviation of "dung".

This is what the Urban Slang Dictionary has to say about mung:

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=mung&r=f

THIS slang dictionary seems to back up the meaning I had.

LOL, wow this really is an old old thread.

I have the XLR caps. I wish they had milled a recess in it so that it would actually notch into the locking jacks. It stays partially in, or is in there a little bit crooked.

In the context I used it, mbriant is pretty much there: anything foul or unwanted. In this case, foul or unwanted on your unused RCA jacks.

Nefarious mung? Maybe mung gone bad, like some rogue fungus that likes silver, gold, or rhodium.
