I had an amazing time at CAF, I particularly enjoyed the HeadAmp booth / area as most of my gear is centered around Headphones. I listened to Arya SM, LCD5, Susvara, and a Friends 6 screw HE-6. One of the things i really like about HeadAmp at shows is the flexibility afforded. Some booths they don't allow you to plug your headphones into their amps. in other instances they don't let you use your source etc. I've found Justin and Mikiah to be extremely flexible and reasonable with these types of requests.

One highlight for me was the Raal PDA-1a Headphone Amp (spoiler I bought it) I tried out the Susvara on it and immediately could tell that it was something special. Low end had body and control, something that is a struggle for many headphone amps. on my buddies HE-6 the bass control, speed and texture was out of this world. I really want to track one of these headphones down. On LCD-5 i didn't have the best experience as the left higher power port is where i plugged into just wasn't a good match. In discussing with some of my friends i think the right headphone port may allow for a better match as there are a couple switches that you can make adjustments for.

Yes that’s it, the right most jack on the PDA-1A has an option for attenuation. For CAF we had it set to -10 which gives you a smoother more precise volume control over the left port which is full POWER out.
