Can I take my Chord Mojo on a plane?

I am going away and would like to take my mojo with me, but will it get through security? Has anyone had any issues?

No issues. You should be able to go through security with no problems.

the only gear that i saw being questioned was a CMoyBB - the owner got detained for a few hours and was release the moment he showed the authorities the eBay link on where he purchased the amp.

I went through airport security with a CMoy type amp in a zippo box, no questions asked :D

I took mine and listened to it in the cabin on a trip from my homeland to USA

That's a bit OTT over an amp, but different cultures probably don't see these things often.

I tend to agree. Especially when Alert levels are high in certain countries. When i was still stacking, i tend to dismantle my rig, put them in their cases when going through security. Once i'm on the plane, i just put them back together - just so i'm on the 'safe' side.

I wouldn't feel too safe about that considering a professor doing calculations got reported as a terrorist.

You'll be fine. Chord's DAC designer takes their flagship products with him on flights.

Most airports my Dave and Blu 2 on the carry on gets through x ray without hold-up. Which is clearly a failure, as a solid block of aluminium is just a black hole; and my carry-on of Dave, Blu 2 and two lap-tops is about 20 kg; but occasionally it gets flagged. Then - what's that? It's a DAC I say. Hint of a frown, and puzzled look follows. What's that? It's a high end CD player. Faint smile of recognition, then a nod and OK then...
Actually the only airport where I get stopped absolutely every time, and chemical swabs are taken is London Heathrow, when it is done carefully and thoroughly.

I take my FiiO X3 II and A5 stack on planes and I haven't been stopped yet! These things do look suspicious though so I'm happy nothing has happened :p

I have been questioned a few times in the past by security staff as well as in flight. Only twice I didn't get an "what? an amp? that's cool" kind of reaction, once a flight attendant ordered me to switch the amp off, and another time in Schiphol I was stopped for several minutes until I was screened for all kinds of bomb checks - I tried to explain to him what the little box was for but he was not interested. They're very strict there...

We were not too far from landing in bad weather, etc. I wanted to argue that using an amplifier was perfectly legal (and much less harmful than a mobile phone or notebook) but didn't have the chance
