I just got an Astel & kern AK HC2 Dongle DAC and it has a 4.4mm female balanced input jack

can I get an adapter to use with my Beyerdynamic DT1990pro?

what would I need to get if so?

You can but you shouldn't as this could cause a short and you still wouldn't be getting the benefits of balanced

Usually you can go balanced from your headphones into an SE amp with an adapter. Never the other way though. So balanced out of an amp to SE into headphones with an adapter is always a no no.
