I just wouldn't to post my 2 cents on a good cheap flash player and I agree with the MuVo suggestion. Good price and Great sound!

In theory, this is correct; however, today's microdrive-equipped DAPs are a great deal more shock resistant that you think. I've got 120 mi. of combination off road / road cycling on my mini via my Y-five-0 dual suspension bike

I'm planning an iPod shuffle for MTB duty but that doesn't mean it cant be done w/ a moving disc player. Considering my recent MTB spills, I'd go flash.

If you don't mind about bulk, especially if you're biking (usually w/ backpack) you can just use an PCDP w/ mp3 encoding. Cheap and stores 700 mb. Or you can bust out an old mini disc player. Those won't get damaged while riding.

i am as hardcore as i need to be, and no, i haven't had any problems to speak of. i just leave my micro in my camelbak and it's never skipped on my once.

i don't jump with it though. if i'm going to be doing a northshore section or something with a bunch of drops/jumps i'll just leave it at home. not worth the risk imo, and you gotta love the sound your bike makes as it rolls over everything
