I really want to get into the audiophile world for listening to music but also for a new experience while gaming.
I was planning on getting the Sennheiser HD700 for 400 euros but today the store changed the price to 595 euros :'(
Anyways, I've been using the Audio Technica ATH-AD700 in combination with a Xonar U7 with Dolby Digital surround sound for gaming and listening to music but I don't like the AD700 for listening to music, since the bass isn't really there.
Is there a way to use my Xonar U7 as a DAC and Surround Sound 'engine' and connect a tube amp to it? If so, which tube amp would you recommend and which open-back headphones? I would like a great soundstage (for positional audio) and trebble that doesn't hurt my ears. The trebble on the AD700 hurts my ears at high volume. I also increase the volume of the left earcup since my left ear has been damaged I guess...

Thanks in advance!
