Hello. my name's Adam, I'm from Poland and I have a question/problem (sorry for my bad language)..
I have a bunch of headphones - not to many, just a few: Brainwavz HM5, AKG K550, HiFiMAN HE400S and Sonorous 6. HE400S was customized with with Hybrid Series HPC (with unbalanced 3,5 mm jack from ViaBlue) (the stock one was a disaster and was broken after just a few months with the first and the second cable).
Sonorous 6 are customized right now with Hybrid Symmetrical Foam Memory "Ear Pads" from Brainwavz (to reduce spicy trebles for me). Other HPs are with stock cables and components.
As headphone amplifier and DAC (connected to the computer via Wireworld "Starlight 7" USB 2.0) I use Questyle cma400i.
As a DAP I use AK Kann.
A question right now is connected with Sonorous 6 (as my main headphone). I want to upgrade my stock cable and do not know what to choose.. Can you help me?
I was thinking maybe about Forza AudioWorks but I have a problem with any contact with Matez right know.
I like detailed, dynamic sound more on a bright side (but not too clinic I guess) and spacious. I don't like when the bass in on the first plan.
I would like the sound to be more clear/transparent (less foggy (especially AK Kann is foggy) - more pronounced sounds, more vivid (especially AK Kann), more separated with much bigger soundstage (AK Kann has more 2D sound) and more air to it and maybe sound a bit "fatter" (more filled). The problem is that the treble right now are a bit spicy (on edge) and do not know what to do or what to choose cause if I will choose too bright cable (and I don't know how they sound) then I can have blood in my ears right?..
From Forza I guess that I should choose between: Noir Hybrid HPC, Noir HPC Mk2, Claire HPC Mk2, Claire Hybrid HPC right?
I'm also thinking about Jimmy Dragon's cable (silver, hybrid or copper) from mp3store forum but I guess you are not familiar with this guy and his cables..
Also I do not know is it worth going into balanced cable cause if I would like to have one for cma400i and AK KANN then I would have to choose I guess fragile jack 2,5mm BAL which is I guess really easy - even in normal use - to break but maybe balance is worth it but I do not know and then choose 3,5 mm unbalanced jack maybe(?).
Does Forza make also adapters (from 2,5 mm jack BAL to 3,5 mm jack unbalanced)? Is to possible to him to make a cable in adapter to be the same as in the main cable?
I also wonder if someone has already recabled Sonorous 6..
