Last year we launched the R70x Refine, a collaboration with Audio-Technica that outperformed all our expectations. We loved it, and we figured a few dorks like us would, too, but we didn’t expect the audio world to go bananas for it like it did. We didn’t even think we’d sell more than 1,000 units, which is why our original plan with AT Japan was to make it a limited edition.

We’re all working hard on the next batch of R70x Refine headphones, but in the meantime, the Apos x AT partnership is excited to offer the Refine’s secret sauce: the ear pads.

We’ve also received a lot of requests from the community asking about their availability—and we’re happy to share that the Refine Pads will finally be available soon.

Believe it or not, the Apos x Audio-Technica Refine Pads are the x factor of the Refine’s sound. Thicker, softer, and just a hair warmer than the originals, they can be tossed on an original R70x and—voila—you get the Refine tuning.

Unfortunately, the headphones are sold out, and no more are being produced. We might have some leftovers after all shipping is complete, which we will keep as a buffer for support purposes. We will only make that available in June or later once all community members have received their headphones and we know the exact amount that is remaining.
