Currently looking into a simple 2 channel bookshelf setup for my TV.

Will be mostly for watching TV and movies. I prefer more focus on the mids/treble, can't be too bassy.

Tested a couple of speakers, a pair of altec lansing and polk audio xt15s but not quite satisfied with those.

Can anyone recommend something thats best bang for the buck?

Check out cheapaudioman on YouTube. He's recently done a few reviews/comparisons in that price range. But hurry since you're in 'Merica.

I don't think you'll find anything remotely satisfactory in that price range, even for listening to just TV/Movies, but who knows. For my money, the Paradigm Monitor SE Atom at roughly $250 would be my pick. Please take YT reviews with a pinch of salt -- they're all selling something!

I'm willing to stretch the budget to $300.

Preference for stuff on Amazon in case i don't like them, it's allot easier to return.

What do you think about the klipsch rp500m ii?

Great choice! I think the Paradigms have a more relaxed sound, whereas the Klipschs have a more lively, energetic sound.
Thx for the recommendation. I think i would prefer lively vs relaxed.

Glad i asked, Adorama has the rp500m ii on sale for $260 right now.
