My wife asked me for skullcandy headphones for Christmas, but I obviously want to get her something with better sound than that. I have been doing research all week, but every time I think i find a good budget set, I learn something new. I need help!

They will be used for running outdoors, and in an office environment, so some isolation would be fine but to much could be an issue if she can't hear cars comin or people talking. They will also be used with an iphone 4s so play controls are a big plus. I need something that sounds good without using lossless codecs or tweaking equalizers.

This is what I'm looking at right now:

Klipsch s4i, $60.  Reviews says good base, but mids and highs are very poor. Also some complaints with cords breaking.

V-Moda Reflex Remote, $45.  Cheap, has iPhone controls, and appears to have above average build quality for price which are huge pluses. I am reading they are heavier than average however, and I am concerned they will be uncomfortable for her when using all day. It's also hard to tell how the sound compares to other options?

Shure 215s, $100. I read fantastic things about the sound from these, but my main concerns are the higher price, and I am seeing a lot of owner reviews saying they ha multiple sets break. Also a music phone cord adds another $50

Brookstone clear dual drivers, $70. I also saw these recommended and its a local store for me which is a plus. However I have no idea how they compare to the other options here, and I read some reviews that they don't have good base. Also the dual driver shape looks a little funky to me.

So any input on how these options compare, which is the best value, and if there is anything else I should be looking at would be appreciated!  I also need something that can be shipped in the US in a week or so. Thanks all

I would say, MEE M6, the one with mic and volume control, I think it's M6p or something like that.

I've heard s4i, and to me, M6 has better bass, and much better treble
