Bose MIE2i vs Bose AE2i - do they sound the same?

After weeks of research, I've finally wittled my choices down to the Bose MIE2i's and the Bose AE2i's - which ones are better and why?
 
I have never owned around-ear headphones before, so i'm not sure how they're like in terms of portability etc. I have always used in-ear earphones in the past.
I have tried the Bose AE2i's and they're the most comfortable headphones I've ever worn, the sound is amazing too.
I have also tried the Bose MIE2i's and the main thing that attracts me towards these is the fact that they look so discreet, just put them in your ear and that's it, no one can really see them.
 
My question is, do these two headphones sound the same? If not, what is so different about them?
Which one should I purchase?
 
If needed - I listen to almost all genres, mainly electronic, hip hop, jazz, and easy listening.

Update - bought the mie2i's

I bought the mie2 on clearance at Radio Shack for $40 and I am pretty happy with the purchase. Fills a niche that I have been looking for.
