I did a search and couldn't find anything, so I hope it's ok to post here. Audio_Gd Compass 2 I pulled out of storage alas has scratches on it's top. It's metal, likely aluminum, with the common 'gun metal' black finish. Does anybody have any idea how I can fix this?

I've never tried on an amp, but a little WD40 on a microfiber cloth can remove fine scratches. Toothpaste works sometimes, too, just a little and buff--then clean up with a damp microfiber cloth after. I would test anything on an inconspicuous area.

I use a black sharpie and feather it in using a paper towel going with the grain. If you spray matte black auto paint on a paper towel you can rub it in as well to fill gaps and scratches. A hobby center has little bottles of it is good as well without the fumes.
