Ok, so I just bought these to have more cans to switch between.

They are fitted with S-Cushion pads right now. Should I order the original G-Cushion pads for best sound ore something else?

I like the L-cushion (bowl) shape, which moves the drivers away from your ears and adds spaciousness.
Grado originals are no doubt higher quality -- two layers of different material -- but expensive. You can get these cheap knockoffs to try the shape:

I'm a big fan of the Nyczaj (fka Shipibo) pads for Grados. They're miles more comfortable than normal Grado pads and pump up the bass a little.

If you wander over to the Grado Fan Club thread we spend about half the posts comparing pads and the other half complaining about the cables

Thanks I’ve ordered the Grado L-Cushion. I want to try them as intended.
