I wouldn't get a PHA-2/3 even I like them.  The reason being 1, it is not the sound your are looking for; 2, the PHA-3 has a dual mono setup for balance output, which is not exactly standard; 3, cost more and offer less functions compare to VC or others mentioned.

Sorry I don't have the TT so I don't know.  But in terms of noise level most of them are fine.

Fostex V1 has been getting really good reviews all around, but since it does not have USB charging, Go-DAP TT might really be my thing! :=)

I could not find any distributor from Europe at all...?
 
And does anyone know if it can play music while charging?

VC used to sells direct from Rakutan worldwide, but they removed the link and put salehifi up instead.  Please PM Venturecraft instead.  and as far as I know, you can't charge when playing...
