My favorite headphone is the ksc75. I was curious what other Koss headphones I should look into. Thanks
Unfortunately, the state of Koss over the last decade or two has resulted in the KSC75 as probably their best. All the iterations of the Koss Pro 4AAAAAX sort of degenerated into a mess. As for the ESP-950, it probably has a worse reputation for quality control than HiFiMan or Audeze.

Personally, I think the episode with their bookkeeper took a lot out of the company. I used to be a stockholder, but after learning about that, I'm surprised that they're even still viable as a company.

That's what I was afraid of. Thanks for response.

Had these in 82, though I haven’t listened to them since 1986. They were pretty good though.

I'll be honest ive seen KOSS before in the market. i got to try the porta pro, porta pro ktc, KSC75 i even tried the Pro4s and Pro4AA and... they're all a mess. im not sure why people praise the sound quality for the porta pro, might be a nostalgia thing but the sound is similar to cheap bestbuy generic cans under 50$. but with worse comfort and worse build quality.

its a shame because ive heard the brand has been good in the past, if you ask me they should stop making cheap headsets and make proper headphones. maybe something similar to Sony? im not sure.

I agree they seem unfocused with too many budget offerings. Totally disagree that the ksc75's are a "mess". Blasphemy lol

lol its ok, i mean there are people who enjoy at for that more power to them. but personally speaking, even at that price point the audio quality isnt good enough for me to buy them.
then again, I dont believe price should dictate sound quality, thats total BS! ive heard 300-500$ cans that were wayyy better than some marketed at like 700 or 800$.
I would like to have more brands offering more cans so we have variety! i love variety!!!

If you like the '75 you might like the '35 more. I have an old original '35 and like it more, flatter sounding, better with classical. There was a '50 that was pretty indistinguishable from the '35 if you can find one. Heavy hanging on the ears but otherwise...

I think the ksc35 driver is the one currently in the portapro and sportapro? If that's the case I much prefer the 75.

The KSC35 is the KSC75 without any sparkle (no titanium coating).

The PortaPro is the KSC35 with headband pressure on the ears.

The KTXPRO1 is the KSC75 with headband pressure on the ears.

The SportaPro is the PortaPro with a different headband design.

Don't know. My bro has the 75 and it's more "dynamic" if you want to hear the headphone. I had my old 35 and an HD600 at the same time, and in my opinion they were more or less indistinguishable from each other. Maybe some difference in extreme low bass/ambience. And crackly cables on the 600. My listening is all classical though, but runs the gamut from Bach cantatas (BWV 1 - ~216), to Wagner.

P.S. the presence of a headband pressing driver against ear makes a lot bigger difference than the driver.
