Best Headphones for Under $50?

I have the creative ep-630s right now and I'd say they're decent, but they're starting to make a sort of like "cracking" sound in the background sometimes (can't hear it when its really loud...but it is there). 
 
Anyways, yea looking to upgrade to something that would be noticeably better.  It's going to be used with an ipod touch / iphone mainly...
 
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hmm, after going through those threads, would the RE2 be a good choice?  I'm still kinda unsure lol, but it seems that it'd be the best thing I could get at a decent price?

lol Yea I know, I've done some reading.  I might end up going for the RE2 with Fiio E5 amp...then again, I listen to mainly hip-hop so not sure if the bass would be good enough.
