Just make sure this doesn't happen and you waste your money:

The other day it happened and my immediate thought was "I could have listened to the entirety of Physical Graffiti. Then I realized I may be a little too addicted to music that this actually highly, highly annoyed me.

^...very often. The thing is that I often discover this is happening when the cans start becoming a tad uncomfortable. So when you're normally taking them off to get a time out for comfort, you've just wasted all that wearing time listening to silence.

Audio Technica's ATH-M50: These are awesome headphones. I've had some nice audiophile grade ones before but truly astounded at how much detail/resolution these phones have.
They gonna work out wonder for you

So a month later, I love these things. Since I'm ghetto and haven't figured out an immediate solution to the head-digging problem, I currently have a folded up paper towel between me and the top. Works well enough for now until I find a better pad to put up there.

Might be able to replace the pads with beyers. i think the 250, not sure. Also, If you spend just 60 on a pa2v2, it will sound more fuller. might need to buy an lod though.
