I know I can't expect much from earbuds but the more bass the better. I listen to a lot of Hip Hop, DnB, and American Dubstep.

They have to be earbuds because I want something I can shove into my pocket & I don't want to drown out background noise when at work or going for a bike ride.

A volume control that works with the Galaxy S3 is required. One of those knobs that uses resistance in the headphone cable itself to control volume is fine too.

A built-in mic would be nice, but isn't necessary. Same goes for bluetooth.

Oh, and they should be sweatproof.

Ideally I don't want to spend more than $40-50, but I'll go all the way to $100 (inc. shipping/tax) if I have to. Suggestions?

Since nobody's responding I'll accept over the ear phones as well, as long as they're comfortable, not too big, are worn around the neck rather than over my head, and have lots of booming bass.

I was looking at the JayBirds earlier today but I fear they won't output enough bass to satisfy me. Plus I would really prefer earbuds for work. Also, they've gotten a ton of bad reviews on Amazon.

phantom, your suggestion meets none of my requirements. I don't want IEMs because they're uncomfortable and cancel out background noise. Not a good idea to ignore my boss if he's behind me shouting & I can't hear him, nor are they good for riding a bike in traffic. And the earwax buildup is annoying.

klipsch image S4? they're in-ears... but i really don't know of any nice earbuds with controls

Yeah I couldn't find any either, which is why I registered here as a last resort.

Ok, so scratch the volume knob thing. What're the best non IEM earbuds I can buy, period? (Remember, lots of bass!)
