Hello, I'm not big on audio, but I plan on learning more via this website.
My question is, are beats studio wireless a good pair of headphones? Considering that I can buy them for 230 dollars?

I would not buy a pair of beats ever. They are marketed to bassheads who have never heard of any other companies. If you want to get something cheaper that has balanced audio I would go for the audio technica ATH M50s. They are not really stylish and are not as bass heavy as beats but they are about $100-$200 on amazon. They also lack wireless capabilities. Check them out and let me know what you think :) cheers!

Well, it really depends. If you want a decent sound with a "comfortable" and possibly "safe" sound and wouldn't mind spending the extra money for the wireless technology, don't mind getting a really flashy headphone, and don't mind the high price tag, then by all means, the Beats Wireless COULD be for you (Keyword: Could).

And considering that I just finally saw that you said you could get them for 230 bucks (assuming brand new), it's a steal but just know where you're getting them from and know that it is a legitimate reseller.

Personally, I would get them and resell them on Ebay as it is an easy profit BUT it's just me.

I would also advise you to look at other brands as well if you're not specifically 'features' dependent (example being wireless, noise cancelling, Apple Controls, etc).

But hey, I'm just your average music enthusiast so take what I said with a grain of salt.

By "safe" and "comfortable" sound, I mean a non-fatiguing warm-like sound. <-- Which is my opinion of what a "safe" and "comfortable" sound is.

(Oh, small edit here at the start.... Beats Studio Wireless, which ones? the old ones, or the new 2.0?
The old ones are utterly crap. If you can get them for 50-80 dollar new, thats the pricerange they should be in, considering the Audio quality, Material quality and Build Quality.
Here in Germany you can get a Logitech UE 6000 for 80€ (instead the old 199€), and they Destroy the old beats studio in sound quality AND build quality. Believe me, you Even for 150-200 dollar you can get a whole different World, compared to those beats.)

In my opinion... No. They are crap. If you can get them new for half price, thats actually the Pricerange they should be in. And even that might be considered too much.

The Build quality is crap, the Materials are cheap, the comfort isnt very good (compared to something like Beyerdynamic), and the Sound is nod good. Its muddy, not precise, slow, dull...

Although, the new Beats studio 2.0, and solo 2.0 are better build, and not so ****ty in Soundquality (like not THAT much bass, alittle less and more defined) according to some Users. But the Price is still like 100 bucks too much to be worth the Money.

Lets start from Zero:

1. Which Source do you want to use? Mobile (which smartphone/player) for train/bus etc? At home for gaming? Music? Movies? (which PC/Mainboard, which Soundcard?)
If only Mobile: How about in-ears?

2. Would you prefer an closed Design or Open? Closed will isolate noise in both directions. Open sounds more airy/bigger soundstage. For portable usage, closed design is a must.

3. If Any kind of Music, which genres?
Do you prefer a natural/neutral Sounding, or more strong bass? (knowing which genres you listening to might give a clue... for Hip Hop the beats sounding might be okay (theres still MUCH better even for this), for classic/jazz is pretty much lowest crap you can get). If someone only listens to Jazz and Classic i would recommend other headphones than to someone, who only listens to the Charts/rap/youtube^^

There are dozens of possible choices here which depends on how you answer these Questions ^^

My personal opinion... If you dont want to be a Designhipster that just needs a pretty necklace, dont get this. Get a High quality Headphone from high quality brands. Those wont break after 1-2 years of usage, and might last you for some decades. I am looking at Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro here, or the V-Mode Crossfade series.

I want to also add that if you've actually tried them out in person and you actually like the sound then sure why not BUT just make sure it is from a certified reseller and be prepared to be bashed by people (especially from the people here; jus sayin') or have people asking to try out your headphones every 7 seconds if you take them outdoors.

I personally do not own any Beats headphones myself so I can't really have a take in it.
