My first attempt at rewiring a set of IEM's (although I don't know if you could call these IEMs...). Picked these up from a fellow head-fi'er with the promise that I'd take my best shot at rewiring them. I'm pretty proud of myself to be honest!
Overall shot of the entire assembly. I used Mogami Neglex Mini-quad, a Canare F12 TRS 3.5mm plug, and covered all but the last foot of it with carbon Techflex.
As close as I could get for a "close up". I had to machine out the cable entrance and where the cable exits the "barrel" toward the driver cup.
Close up of the Canare F12 plug (love it - easy to solder and gives a nice solid feel), and a close up of the transition from the shielded cable to the L & R channels. I may cover this with 1/8 Techflex in the future, but for now, I like the bare cable.
Ok here's a better close up. You can see the rough machining on the barrel. It's a little rough, but I'm really happy with the overall recable.
