so after moving my receiver for like the 2nd time i've come to the realization that screwing speaker wire into the back is a pain. So I'm in the search for some quality banana's which don't like totally bad. My findings so far are....(oh yah price is important

)

Atlona's

GLS Audio

http://cgi.ebay.com/40-Banana-Cable-...QQcmdZViewItem

GLS Audio 2

http://cgi.ebay.com/20-Locking-Banan...QQcmdZViewItem

(also if i where to go with GLS what is the major difference between 1 and 2?)

Dayton's

also if anyone else has some good budget banana's about the same style that would be available in canada (will buy online if needed) that would be great

not sure if this is really the place to ask but some people out there have stereo setup's as opposed to can's alone so i figured why not

Get regualr bananas instead of locking, the locking look fancier but talking with some of the cable DIYers, they got out of my head the idea of repalcing mine, it seems that they offer even less contact than a good set of regular ones...

If you get the pack of 40 from that sale on eBay, I will get 8 from you (or maybe 10 to make it round numbers.....

dont get the 40 pack version, those are useless, they are too small to fit anything and slip out if you look at them wrong.

If you must go for cheap locking bananas, get the GLS locking bananas.

but IMO the best are the non locking vampire wire connectors.

thanks for the quick responses, i looked at your speaker cable diy site which gave me the idea, and the vampires although nice are really pricey. in regards to the 1st set of gls plugs why do you say that they are to small and that they would slip?

also what would you say in comparison of the locking ones between the atlona's and the 2nd set of gls's?

Just out of curiosity, has anybody tried the WBT bananas? They are locking and not cheap, but then again, they are one of the few options that are readily available around here. (That I've managed to find)

I've got some of the GLS locking bananas and haven't had any problem with them being loose fitting. In fact, with them completely "unlocked" it's all I could do to get them into the terminals on the the back of my NAD C320Bee and my 2 Pi Tower's terminals. They definitely make good contact with my equipment, but YMMV.
