Balanced cable for Philips Fidelio X2HR or X1s

Would the following cable really make Philips Fidelio X2HR or X1s work with a balanced amplifier? The product does have good reviews.

I think that in order for it to work, each of the drivers has to take the ground signal from two different places on the unbalanced plug. This way, on the balanced plug those two places would just get separated by insulation and carry two different signals.

I used to use the X1, on the headphones it was a 3.5 channel unbalanced, so the cable seen on ali might work. But may not be able to use the full efficiency of the signal
