First of all, I'm really not an audiophile or anything, so please go easy on me and my cruddy gear...
I have a bit of a problem, the headphone jack of my low end audio system (Denon D-M33) appears to have a slight background noise that my Beyerdynamic DT931 headphones pick up, but not most other things I have tried hooking up, such as my portable headphones.
I don't know if it's a frequency thing or what it is that makes this noise is only hearable with my beloved DT931 headphones.
Other than this noise, I'm happy with how things sound especially considering the tight budget...
What would you guys suggest (other than the obvious but pricey solution of replacing everything
)?
Any "magic" ideas for getting rid of the noise?
Would you recommend getting a cheap headphone amp like the Pro-Ject Head Box mkII? That amp, however, only seems to have low impedance output, which isn't that well suited for my headphones...?
Thanks in advance!
