Axon 7 mini with uapp version 4plus

Can anyone confirm without a doubt that uapp version 4 plus in hi res direct mode is using the akm dac. It is listed as yes using it but not confirmed by frequency analysis. I hate having a doubt that 24/192 files are playing at that resolution. I am using afiio a5 amp but of course connected via headphone out. I am almost ready to get a q5 but like being able to charge phone at the same time with the a5. Dang maybe a x7ii is in order lol!

Hmm. I just noticed in the hi res direct settings in uapp there is a bit perfect play back. Apparently if I select "when possible" in this setting it will bypass the eq and software volume controls if the DAC is playing the actual bit and frequency of the file. So I guess if I get a hi res flac file and try this and the eq and software volume controls are bypassed I have my answer? Still thinking of using my phone as just a phone and getting a dap. The cayin n5ii is in my price range right now. Opinions anyone?? Or spring for a q5 but battery life on axon 7 mini is bad but with the a5 amp I can keep a powerbank attached to the phone!!
