I was invited to join in Audiotechnica 2010 fall new products rollout event on this past Oct 7th.

In short, the keyword of the show was: iPod, DJ and minor improvement.
Japan is also in a sever economic condition. Seems like they concentrates their resource into budget area. That's a shame there was no high-class models like a succesor of ES10. The vice president of Audiotechnica told us their profit will be back around the next financial period, so I expect higher models will come after that.
Anyway I found a quality of the new products are not bad. For example, CKM99(21000 jpy) is very nice for both buil quality and SQ. CKM99 is a composition of Titanium and Stainless. CKM99 sounded sharp and solid.

In the picture the woman wears CM707(9750 jpy) and the guy wears EC707(12500 jpy). SQ of these ones also good, well expansive and sounded nice for the price.

That is a Sushi-machine. This is not a joke. Audiotechinica is also known as a food machinery with their another brand named Autec.
Anyway the Sushi dishes were very nice
