I have spotted a Fraud sale of an MSB DAC on AGon. I told them and they have taken it down.
I spotted the pictures of the MSB stack were different (the heatsinks at the front where it meets the legs).
So AGon doing there job, but take care guys. I was buying an Audio Note DAC 5 for about 4 months of looking, and came across many many fakes, most at other hifi forum sale sites. One listed in Dublin but I emailed the guy and it came up with the same DAC on the email address also listed as being in Germany.
1. If it sounds cheap it may be Fraud.
2. If you can't ring the seller don't buy IMO.
3. Do PayPal then you can chargeback. Though that can not always work of the card is stolen.
4. Try and collect
5. Or do an Escrow that you choose. (some escrows are also a scam).
6. Look for sales history and try an talk to other buyers that bought from the seller.
7. If it's big money (most hifi is) then go the extra mile to play safe.
