Can anyone tell me if the Audio Alchemy headphone amp with dedicated power supply is very good? I need a speedy response as I have a chance to buy one on the used market. Thanks.

I had one of those about three/four years ago. It's a very good amp, discrete class A I think, it runs really hot after a while.
The Headroom circuit it uses is flawed, I think it was a very early version of it or they did something wrong when they implemented it, I always had it switched off.
