Hi,
I have a EL-8 OB here for testing. I really wanted to like it, but there are 4 major issues for me:
- too heavy (480g)
- pressure point on the middle of the headband that feels uncomfortable (they should simply make it larger)
- major lack of Bass compared to dynamic open headphones (no punch, no impact)
- price (for what it's offering, I feel like it's to expensive)
Now my question would be, what sounds somehow similar but with more bass ? What I have in mind: Shure SRH 1840 + 1540, Hifiman HE-400i, AudioQuest Nighthawk...
I don't care if it's closed or open. They should work without an amplifier. Ideally cheaper then the EL-8
Any ideas ?
