Not really a comparison post, but need help getting a new headset. which of the Audio Technica "on-ear" headphones has got that great deep bass and clarity like the beats by dre ?

That is great for pop, hip hop, rnb.

Its got to have the groovy beats sound signature or very close :)... thanks

Beats don't have very low bass, just lots of it. And they're very far from having any clarity, they sound muffled as hell compared to most quality headphones in that price range :p

What's your budget? Also do you absolutely need Audio-Technica? There are plenty of great brands out there.

I've heard a ton of great things about the M40x, stuff by Vmoda is also apparently good but the design is a bit tacky.

The MDR-1A is also bassy and has a very classy look to it, perhaps check that one out.

The Sony probably has more bass but Ive heard it and it wasn't very tight bass compared to my Momentum 2. Still better than Beats though :) I think both the Sony and the M40x are great for the price. The Sony may look bulkier but I'm quite sure the M40x is not as streamlined as the 1A
