I wondered what headphones/iems work best with the asgaard, obviously a matter of personal opinion but i would be interested in what users think

With the Asgard 3 I really liked the Beyerdynamic DT880 600ohm and DT770 250ohm. Bright headphones never got fatiguing on that amplifier. Even better with slow rolloff DAC filters that can rolloff the treble like the Monolith liquid platinum does with the AK4499 chip.
Sennheiser stuff was a little too warm on it, except the HD700 with the Modhouse foam kit. It just always sounded like the high treble never got annoying on that amp.
