Ipod heads proceed to ebay soon as people will be unloading there ipods, after seeing this compact, 4 inch LCD .

Thinksecret rumors are rarely wrong . They announced the ipod boombox and mac mini days prior to lauch . If it was someone else, i would have neglected it.
The delay is related to Apple CEO 's negotiation with movie studio's bout the pricing and rights .

Naw, the already minimal two-hour video battery life will be dropped to one hour... but don't worry, the unit will be thin... and that's what counts!

Seriously, if the rumors are accurate this could be a landmark product and I can't wait to see it. (Apple - Please have it together enough to add a custom EQ function!) However whether you will see large numbers of earlier iPods being ditched on Ebay will have a lot to do with the price of the new unit and I don't think that a 4" screen (and all the other goodies they will probably have in there) is going to be cheap...

I do n't give a damn to the battery life ,as long as, it is few hours . It is going to be a beautiful device . I am excited about the form factor and a good size screen. I hope the audio is as good and supports all formats the current ipod does .

i've been holding out buying an ipod when there were rumors of the fifth gen still going around...i'll just wait till the FINAL verison of the ipod. grr
