Anything wrong with wearing headphones in reverse for music?

Wearing the right cup on the left ear and vice versa.

I ask, because while I like the ES7, I'd like to lay them flat on my shoulders/chest when I'm out and about and not listening to music at that particular moment. Trouble is, they lay flat on their mirror finish if you wear them correctly. I'd like the drivers to face down...

There's nothing wrong with wearing them backwards for music is there? They have flat pads, and non-angled speakers, so it's not like they would feel any different.

My guess is that the only issue would be in soundstaging. Rear sounds would be in front, and vice versa. Not a big problem for me, IMHO. I couldn't care less about those details in public.

Try listening to some Beatles songs (Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds) and you'll notice it just switches the soundstage. I can't tell that it does anything else.

Yeah, lol. You're quick to notice such things.

BTW, the bass on them is freaking strong, very much like the 770 pro 80s...

Don't do it. Listening to music in reverse stereo could cause irreversible damage to your body. It will interrupt and potentially reverse your body's homeostatic orientational dynamics.

Yes, it may seem fun and innocent at first, but that's what they all say.

The first symptoms that show are clumsiness and knocking things over. Second, you may find yourself having difficulty walking straight. Before you know it, you will never be able to find your beeping cell phones/alarms/microwaves ever again. Once you've reached the fourth stage, you can never reverse the symptoms and go back to normal. You can easily recognize victims as the crazy people walking down the street backwards talking to no one (or maybe they're not facing their listeners...?).

LOL that was pretty freaky. Remember kids, don't EVER reverse stereo. Pretty soon you'll be walking on your head...   wait. that's pretty cool actually *reverses stereo*

Thing is, it's not simply reversing stereo, like say putting putting on IEMs in the wrong ear. You're literally flipping all the sound 180 degrees. I haven't really listened to it, but having front sounds in the rear and vice-versa must cause a black hole  somewhere. O_O

If you keep listening backwards this is what you'll end up thinking to yourself in a mental hospital, taken from A Scanner Darkly:

I understand, he thought, what that passage in the Bible means, Through a glass darkly. But my percept system is as ****ed up as ever. Like they say. I understand but am helpless to help myself.
Maybe, he thought, since I see both ways at once, correctly and reversed, I'm the first person in human history to have it flipped and not-flipped simultaneously, and so get a glimpse of what it'll be when it's right. Although I've got the other as well, the regular. And which is which?
Which is reversed and which is not?
When do I see a photograph, when a reflection?
