Wearing the right cup on the left ear and vice versa.
I ask, because while I like the ES7, I'd like to lay them flat on my shoulders/chest when I'm out and about and not listening to music at that particular moment. Trouble is, they lay flat on their mirror finish if you wear them correctly. I'd like the drivers to face down...
There's nothing wrong with wearing them backwards for music is there? They have flat pads, and non-angled speakers, so it's not like they would feel any different.
My guess is that the only issue would be in soundstaging. Rear sounds would be in front, and vice versa. Not a big problem for me, IMHO. I couldn't care less about those details in public.
