Wow this is really a stupidly thin yet very attractive looking PCDP... It looks like an oversized MD player lol!

And girls can use it as a mirror once you open the lid and look inside hehe

it's really quite attractive, I've seen it several times real life and I almost bought one.

The amplifier section for the speakers is 2W or something, so I was thinking about upgrading it and modifying it to have a nice and powerful headphone jack...

This thing isn't new. It's been available at audiocubes since August 2002.

what about the new(er) SL500s?
the headphone output is much better, and it has pretty good battery life (with the 'optional' nimh battery)

anybody think this is better than the 800? it lacks the nice remote, and also, it is considerably larger/thicker than either

Frankly speaking... I'll still go with the 800.
It looks more like a PCDP... and at least you can put it in your pocket.

Imagine trying to squeeze a 900 into your pocket... the edges will poke you like mad.
