I recently found a store stamping these things out for a fairly good price... However other than audioreview.com this amp has not really received any reviews

From what I understand, it is one of the most powerful intergrates at it's price range and can be had for $900

For me, that seems to be a better solution than some of the Arcam and MF stuff I've been looking at, granted if it performs well...

How much is that store asking? Buy it from the U.S. side, with the exchange rate in your favor, you can save even more.

That audioreview entry is a couple of years outdated. There is an entry for the PMA-2000R model, which is the previous model I believe. Many people put their review of the IVR model under the R model.

This Denon integrated weighs in at over 52lbs. Take a look at the weight of all the other integrated amps, there is no comparison.

its almost hard for me not to chance it, considering I can get it for about 1K CAD

seriously I was contemplating looking at a much higher "brand" to power my Totems, and more or less this might just suit my circumstances...

have to buy it to a/b against the Conrad Johnson or LV-103 me tinx

Conrad Johnson makes some top notch gear. But the price is probably several multiples of what this Denon costs. Give both a try and just keep the one you like.

What kind of Totem do you have? Aside from the Mani 2, I don't think most of the other Totems are too difficult to drive. Of course if you are talking about larger towers, then you would be better served with separates. The Mani 2 definitely needs some really beefy separates. For all the rest of the Totem bookshelves, this Denon will more than suffice.
