Anyone heard of EMU 0404 II USB?

Hi all,

Since the EMU 0404 USB is hard to get where I live (the Netherlands) I sent a email to a shop close to where I live which does sells this unit. I emailed them asking if they had one and so if I could pick it up later this week. They responded to me that they're waiting on the arrival of some EMU 0404 II USB.. According to them, it should arrive this Friday or Tuesday next week. Only one thing is missing, some information about this so called number II. So I am hoping someone does have some information about this baby?

Doesnt seem to be anything on here on the E-MU website :

I suspect the "II" is the 2.0 in "USB 2.0" ?

I have the same thought. Ah well, will phone them tomorrow. Will keep you all posted on this.

Since when is it hard to get a EMU in The Netherlands? I can walk out the door and pick one up within an hour.

Just check some professional audio shops and you should be able to find enough EMU products.

One, everytime I call an professional audio shop they are out of stock. Two, I don't live near any big city so for me it's quite a drive. The few professional audio shops near me don't sell headphones and such.

So no updates yet, but tomorrow I will be heading to a shop which should have them in stock. Otherwise next week as I'm told.

So I went over to the big city today and guess what, no E-MU 0404 usb in stock. I asked the guy of the shop about the E-MU 0404 usb and he told me they would get a version II next week.. BUT.. when I asked him if he could look the unit up on the internet he pointed at the "regular" E-MU 0404 usb (2.0). All in all, musicmind was totally right. But still, I will be pleased to have such a nice unit at home.

hmm... guess wat.. even creative HQ in singapore is out of stock for weeks...

Ugh, I truly hate when this sort of stuff happens. Good luck on grabbing one!
