I have an TEAC 3340S R2R (four-channel) deck that I bought from Ebay a couple years ago. This unit is a TANK at weighing nearly 70 pounds. But it still plays well and records good as well. I even gotten some of the 10' blank reels to record on from Quantegy and some 7' reels as well.

I haven't really used the unit in quite awhile, but I would like to make use of it eventually. But trouble is, I am not certain the condition the head is in though it plays and records pretty well, and I am sure some tuning would be needed. I am not sure if there are any facilities that services these units or not. If anyone by chance knows of some places somewhere please share. Thanks for any help

AVTM: Did you already check out TEAC's web-site? You'll find a list of authorized service centers for your state there... Alternatively email Teac's customer service and ask 'em. They should be able to help. If not, try Tascam.

Greetings from Munich!
