I have an old 5-disk DVD changer made by RCA, model number RC5910P-C.
The thing was absolutely terrible at playing DVDs; it'd struggle to get through brand new discs without locking up.
I've played through a few CDs without any issues. The unit boasts "96 KHz / 24 bit AUDIO / 10 bit VIDEO" on the front bezel.
There's a hefty gold-plated 1/4" headphone jack on the front, as well as optical and coax outputs in back.
Anyone know anything about the DAC/headphone amp in this thing? Is it worty of use as a preamp in a budget setup (say HD 650s and a Little Dot MKIII)? How about as just a transport?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
