I want to get some earbuds that isolate noise well, is comfortable, and has decent quality with fun sound to it. Any recommendations would be appreciated, thank you. Budget around $50 or less.

What do you call decent quality with fun sound to it? Do you want it to have extra bass? Do you want it to have a great midrange? You didn't even mention what types of music you like to listen to. Some of my low priced IEMs that I like very much are the $12 Soundmagic ES18, Sony XBA-1, and Panasonic RPHJE450. The Sony XBA-1 is my IEM with the greatest isolation. it has a great midrange, although some complain that it doesn't have enough bass. I find the bass as well as the isolation is best when I make sure to have it deeply in my ear, with the outer end even with my tragus. It has great detail, and is only around $25. It was originally around $80. The Soundmagic ES18 probably offers the best value of all the IEMs I own. it is one of my least expensive IEMs, but also one of my favorites.

The Panasonic RPHJE450 has 12.5mm drivers. It is ported though, which reduces the isolation. It has good bass slam, but not as much detail as the newer RPHJE355. The RPHJE355 has only 10.7mm drivers, and much less bass impact than the HJE450. The HJE450 is $20 at Panasonic.com.

If you really want supreme bass for the lowest costs, you should get the extremely cheap JVC HA-FX101 for $15. The only issue with them is the low build quality. A low-priced IEM which is more V-shaped is the Philips SHE 3590. For better advice you should really say what you would like to have, what doesn't matter much and what kind of music you are going to use it for.

Imo the sound quality of the HAFX101 is not so good. For extra bass you are much better off getting the Soundmagic ES18 and boosting the bass on the player's equilizer by 8 to 12 db(or less if you prefer it). I normally listen to the ES18 with the equilizer off using my Rockbox Sandisk players, however I tried it with a 12db bass boost. It sounded much better than the HAFX101.

Did you do a sufficient burn-in with the 101s? After the burn-in they are IMO great! Especially if you know how cheap they are. But maybe you are right, I've never heard the soundmagic ES18s maybe I should check them out.

Once you hear the Soundmagic ES18. you probably won't want to use the HAFX101 again. As for JVC low priced IEMs, the HAFX40 is interesting, and much better than the HAFX101. I did extensive burn in on the HAFX101 and the HAFX40.

So in your opinion I should sell my 101s and go for the Soundmagic ES18? I like the HAFX101 better then HAFX40 because I find the HAFX40 a little too bright.

Sell the HAFX101? What could you get for a used one? A new one is only around $13. What would someone pay for a used one?

I don't know, but maybe my little brother is willing to pay €15 for them, they are not very much used, in Holland they cost around €20-€25.

Wow. You guys in Holland are paying some ridiculously high prices for some things. 20 euros is over $25.      25 euros is $31.62 it is around $13 on Amazon.

Unfortunately we have to, when we want to buy from Amazon.com we have to pay around $15 shipping costs to Holland.
