I've seen, but not sure, in the "headphones trick" on Meier Audio website that it's possible, but I might be wrong... (I just roughly went through it)
So it's really possible right?
I'm just sometimes too lazy to carry Headphones amp around. Just my Ety's and PCDP or MD on the go.
nope, it's not possible. the only difference is that the 4s has a resistor of a larger value inside in the pod. so with the 4p you can add an external resistor in series so that the resistance in the cable is the same as the 4s. but to lower the resistance in the 4s to that of the 4p, you'd have to parallel a resistor to the resistor in the pod of 4s. to do that you'd have to remove the (or splice open) the cable of the 4s. and if you did remove the cable it would probably be easier to attach a cable with the resistance of the 4p cable, and use an external 4p -> 4s adapter cable.
