*Hope this is the right place to post because I couldn't find anything better to post this at so if it needs to be moved, please do*
Anyways, I saw this recommendation on another site for another user. It's a boom mic you add to a pair of headphones, and immediately I thought wow, that's pretty nifty.
I've looked up some reviews, and heard the actual quality of the mic, and it sounds pretty damn good for $30. I have the Panasonic HTF600s (thanks to this sites recommendation for a budget headphone) which I literally wear ALL THE TIME when I'm on the computer. Super comfy, great sound.
Moving on, I have one concern with this AntLion ModMic
1) Does it pick up background noise? I don't usually have much going on in my room, but the air conditioner is noisy. It was installed improperly, and the water it creates from the condensation, hits the fans, and water drips, while creating a buzzing like fan sound that could definitely be picked up by my logitech webcam's mic. That mic sucks but the point remains.
Other than that, I just have a tough choice ahead of me. For $90, in Sept. PDP is releasing a wireless afterglow headset which can work on PC/PS3/360/Wii...but I would only use it on the PC/PS3. But then again how do I know if it's comfortable or not? It could be pretty piss poor compared to what I've read about the Antlions which are only $30...
Thanks for anyone who can help answer my question
