Well, the problem I have is that I cannot get my Chaintech 710 to output 44.1 kHz from the digital out. I know what is coming out because my ART DI/O only works when set at 48 or 96 kHz or external clock.

Winamp or foobar2000, this is the same.

I am using Directsound, as I cannot get the Kernel Streaming or ASIO to work.

Help, please

Forgot to mention that the resampler (neither of the two, or together) in foobar2000 does not make any difference. That is, I cannot make the digital out ouput 44.1kHz

In the VIA Audio Control Panel, try putting "PCM only" for the digital out and in the samplerate tab tick the checkbox "Automatic".

AHA! I had to install v 3.10 drivers for this. The 1.43c did not have this option. Thanks.

and with the v3.10 drivers, kernel streaming in foobar2000 works!
