I picked this record today and I like it a lot.
It is a mixture between trip hop, rock and jazz with a very good production to boot.
Anyone knows more about Ani Difranco. I gathered she's from Canada...

Righteous Babe is based in Buffalo if I'm not mistaken... I saw her at UC Santa Cruz July 3rd and she mentioned upstate NY quite a few times, but I'm not sure if she's from there.

Yup, it's a pretty good album. A lot more substance than revelling/reckoning (her new one - nice sonics though). You should check out her earlier stuff (Not A Pretty Girl, Puddle Dive... good stuff) and Living In Clip, her live album.

I've been digging India Arie's debut album for the past couple of months... lyrically amazing - up there with Ani (when she first started) as far as young musical talents IMO. You may want to check it out.
