Android apps that have "Adapt sound" type customization

I recently got a Samsung Note 3, and the inbuilt music player has a feature called "Adapt sound", which basically customizes the EQ curve according to ones hearing perception of various frequencies..
 
I loved this feature as it compensates for one's hearing pitfalls, and the result sounds more detailed to my ears.
 
Are there any music player apps that have such an option of customizing the EQ curve according to one's hearing perception?

This is a good question. I assumed that the Adapt Sound customization happens first before the signal passes through the playback app but now I'm not so sure. It would seem to defeat the purpose of a player EQ if it's already been adapted once.

I recently discovered this feature on my Samsung S4. The detail gained was really quite amazing, but I also started to notice a hiss that was not apparent prior to enabling. I also discovered (probably old news to many) that Samsung has been using Wolfson DACs in their Galaxy phones and that they play FLAC files with the native music app. Of course, EQ at that point is more for impact than for flattening the response. I'd still rather listen to music on my X3/E12 combo, but for a quick "listen on the go", I was rather impressed.

P.S. It would be nice if some enterprising DAP maker would offer a similar feature to automate EQ for those of us who are "challenged" at particular frequencies.
