I saw at the record shop the Andreas Volleweider CDs having a sticker with the Dolby logo that said Dolby Surround. It is encoded in dolby surround so any dolby prologic and higher decoder should do the job. Are al A.V.l CDs released in dolby surround? They are around 12 EUROS but I already got the ones they got in vinyl so I am not buying them. If anyone wants those Surround versions (2-3 albums they got) I can pick them up (if they are still there) for them.

The Swiss slideguitarist Max Lässer, one of my favourite musician, plays on several of Andreas Vollenweiders records. His IMO best record "A different kind of blue" are among the best I´ve heard. Highly recommended!

Yes, and "White Winds" is very much a New Age-album, very beautiful. Cosmopoly is more like World Music. Both are great albums with superb musicians.

His live double CD set is the one to get -- absolutely charged with energy and grace. All the pieces have been rearranged for live performance and are completely different from their studio versions. On top of that there is quite a few improvisational pieces not found on any CDs.

A live DVD is coming out, according to his web site

His studio CDs tend not to hold togeter -- the pieces are very nice but do not relate to one another. I think a better one is Down to the Moon.

A.V is quality. I have most of his stuff. Saw him play here in london years ago, was great. Tops!
