I just got some Senn HD 280's and after just a few hours of listening to them on my computer I turned my Kilpsch Promedia 4.1 speakers back on, and immediately wanted to turn them back off. The Headphones offer so much more clarity.

I have now decided that my HP's are worth the extra money for a better source. So I decided to buy a PCDP. After reading through the forum some more, I decided on the CT470. So it is now in the mail, and should be here by the end of the week ($18.27 on ebay

). I am pretty sure my new found obsession will not stop there.

So here is the question.....What next? I am thinking about an amp sometime in the near future. I have noticed my HP's lack a little in the low bass, is this because they are underpowered? I am new to this, so speak slowly. If you have any suggestions on cheap amp's that would work well with the 470 and my 280's it would be much appreciated.

I haven't used the HD280s, but...you might what to look into the headroom airhead portable amp or the meier-audio corda/porta corda. Your headphones are only 64 ohm so they should be easy to drive.
