Alternatives to Comply foam tips?

Does anyone know of an alternative to Comply, particularly something in a larger bore for DITA, Audio Technica, etc?

With some headphones, Complys are simply too short, and sit too shallow in my ear to provide the best isolation possible. They also aren't the nicest foam... They are a little scratchy and uncomfortable.

For me, the perfect foam tip is the long foam Westone tips (orange backs). They are perfect... Nice deep insertion is possible, and the foam itself is much smoother to the touch compared to Comply. Feels like it's just a closer density foam in general. They are also much more durable. I'd love to find something similar that fits larger bore earphones.

I'm aware of Comply's new "P" series, but it's only available for headphones in the "100" sizing... That's a narrow bore.

Anybody know of anything? This is pretty much a hail-mary pass, there's not a whole lot of product I'm unaware of when it comes to IEMs, ha ha... But who knows. I'm already 90% resigned to shelling out $150-$250 (with the appointment to make the molds) for custom tips...

I feel your pain - even talked to the guy at Comply and asked if they would be making a P-Series with a larger bore...

um.... no

What I tried was taking the Orange cored Westone foam tip (biggest and longest) and removing the core - then it fit pretty well on the larger bored IEMs....

Ha, just sent comply an email as well...

They'd actually sell more Pros in larger bore sizes than small, if you think about it.

Considering most multi armature headphones (which are generally small bore nozzles to maximize naturally weaker bass) are some approximation of the Shure/Westone/whoever shape and usually already have pretty good insertion depth/isolation... Whereas most dynamic driver headphones (which generally feature larger nozzles to maximize treble as the bass is already strong) seem to be the old "pill shaped body with a nozzle jutting out at 45 degrees" design, and are harder to get deep insertion with.

Don't get me wrong, I think a nice long foam tip is great for any IEM to maximize isolation, but for the vast majority of IEMs that the Pros do fit, they aren't critical... Just kind of nice to have. Whereas many larger bore Dynamic Driver IEMs actually NEED the pros or something like them... To the point that some people quit on certain Dynamic Driver IEMs because they just can't nail down the fit.

Comply is dropping the ball by not selling the Pros in larger bore sizes...

Hmm. Yesterday I paid £19.99 for three pairs of Comply TX500 tips (medium). I wish I'd heard of Crystal Tips by Crystalline Audio before I did that. Still, what is £19.99 in this game?

If I wanted to replace some Comply 400 which size would I need?

Thanks

Sorry for reviving an old thread, but I am in the same predicament as quite a few of you it seems...

A couple years ago, I mass purchased the old "Long" (Large...the one's I have measure between 13.6mm - 14.7mm in length) comply foams for all of my IEM's and they have apparently discontinued the long tips (except for the P-series) and are all the short length now 10.67mm. This actually really sucks, because certain IEM's I have are pretty much unusable for me now because they keep falling out with the short tips, or will not stay in at all (example: Monster Turbines, Denon AH-C300, even my cheap Rock Zircons, etc...).  I use my IEM's everyday whether at the gym, taking the dog out for a walk/hike, etc. and would really love to be able to use them.

Silicone tips are just uncomfortable, don't isolate well at all, and I find that they tend to fall out anyways with any sort of activity short of sitting on the couch.  Whereas the Long Comply foams would allow me to use certain IEM's anywhere.

Does anyone have an alternative to the long comply's or know anywhere to get old stock?

Thank you in advance

I find these tips almost perfect I need these but slighly more depth, do comply sell any tips that have the same hole mount diameter as the t400 but are longer so they get in the ear more ? I find these a bit too short because my earphones sennheiser ie6 have a lip that hits my ear and prevents inserting them deeper unless I turn the senns upside down and use over the ear insertion.

i too would like some more like the p series that would fit on my monster turbine pros...i also find the complys t400 too short and a bit too full to properly seal and isolate...also the base of the housing rubs against my ear when inserted ...a slim P version would be terrific

Comply or no Comply?   Comply Ts400 fit well but are too short, the mesh of the nozzles are too exposed and get copious amounts of earwax on them after extended listening sessions.T400 foams, which are longer, fit well and give good comfort, but the seal is not as good as with stock tips, so bass impact is lost. Back to stock silicon double flange tips! Conclusion: no Comply!
